This is a Sears Kenmore model 158.19411 sewing machine made in Japan. It is in very good condition for its age. I opened it up and oiled it at all the recommended oiling points. It has a working light. It has a 1.0 amp motor which is twice the amperage of most newer machines.
The machine has ten built in settings and by using the stitch length and stitch width you can vary them. The machine comes with a removable sewing bed extension. When the extension is on and you want to get at the bobbin holder, simply press a button and the front section of the extension comes off (pics 7 and 8).The foot pedal was cracked so I replaced it with a heavier duty Singer pedal. It comes with a bobbin holder, bobbin, foot pedal/power cord, and three spare bobbins.
The ten built in stitches include. The item "Vintage Kenmore Sewing Machine 158.19411 Zig-Zag Heavy Duty Japan Sears" is in sale since Monday, August 9, 2021. This item is in the category "Collectibles\Sewing (1930-Now)\Machines". The seller is "oldsewingmachines" and is located in Medford, Oregon.
