Vintage 1951 Singer 201-2 Direct Drive Heavy Duty Sewing Machine Denim Leather

This is an awesome gear driven direct drive Singer model 201 sewing machine. Because of the direct drive, this industrial machine can handle sewing heavy materials like denim, leather, canvas, tent, sails, etc. It is mounted on a really cool looking, and very practical, MCM wood table with multiple drawers.

This was my mother's machine that she had used all the time. She stopped using it years ago, so it's been stored away for many years.

I did finally test it, it runs and the light works, but the motor wire insulation shows signs of cracking. It probably should be changed before using for safety, and given an oiling. Look how great this looks. Please check out my other listings.

Over the past few years my father and my mom passed away, and also my mother in law. My parents were married for 69 years and lived in this house for over 65 years.

My mom kept everything, as long as it wasn't worn or broken. My father was a salesman and retired from Schering Pharmaceuticals.

My mother in law was the same way, and she had a condo full in Florida. Antiques, collectables, vintage clothing, vintage perfumes and Mary Kay cosmetics, vintage and newer electronics, vintage Barbies (mine and my two sisters'), Little Tikes and Fisher Price toys, household and decorative goods, and all different sorts of Schering Pharmaceutical collectables.

The list can go on and on. Everywhere I look I find something else.

I'm just putting it all into boxes and bringing it to mine and my husband's home. My husband was the one who used to sell here, but he isn't able to anymore. So now that I have all these "things", it is up to me. Thanks again for looking and I hope you check back as I list more items.
