Vintage Singer 201-2 Sewing Machine serial number AJ181190 made in 1949. In very good sewing condition.
It sewed through eight layers of denim, upholstery vinyl and leather with ease. This heavy duty machine features an internal motor that's directly gear-driven with no belt to slip or deteriorate.
I search out the best of these fine machines. I disassemble the bobbin case, take off the face plate, the gear cases, the hand-wheel, the slide plate and the back access plate and get down to where the old dried-on oil and grease are. I clean out the packed-in lint and dust, remove the thread-jams, inspect the hook and the needle plate, and generally look for potential problems. I use high-quality lubricants in all the right places, getting into those spots that aren't as obvious to the average user then test the machines to make sure that they are sewing at their best.
Each machine has been throughly tested. Sewing samples will be included. After all of this, each machine is carefully detailed, to bring out it's original beauty. These are some of the finest examples of mid-century styling that you'll find, and want each machine to be the very best that it can be. It has some paint chips on the front edge and wear on the sewing bed.
Additional Items included in your package are. Extra Feet and Accessories in green Singer box. Original Singer Cabinet Hinges with Mounting Screws. New Power Cord and Motor Controller Cord.
