This is a wonderful, heavy duty, sewing machine by Singer. It is a fashion mate series, machine, model number FM - 17C. There are so many wonderful features about this machine. I have been repairing sewing machines for more than 25 years and this is one of my all-time favorites.

It is super heavy duty and can easily handle denim, canvas, duck cloth, and even leather with a leather needle. It has built-in zigzag stitching, as well as straight stitching and a wonderful button hole system. It has three needle positions, left right and center, which is wonderful for inserting zippers.

It has a built-in bobbin winder, which is made of metal, not plastic like so many are that tend to break off. It has a drop in bobbin system, as well as a carrying handle. This machine is very easy to thread and operate. It is one of the smoothest, quietest and fastest machines.

In addition to the machine and the foot pedal, also included are two extra bobbins, a seam ripper, a tape measure, a machine, screwdriver, and a needle threader, a feed dog cover plate to allow for freeform quilting and appliqué, as well as two extra needles. All of these accessories fit in the attached accessory drawer, built into the extension table. This machine is in great working condition There are a few marks and scuffs and scratches.

This machine has been cleaned, oiled, and tested. It is in great working condition and will last many more years if well taken care of. When they say "they don't make them like they used to" they are talking about this kind of a machine.
