SINGER Sewing Machine 401A Zig Zag Heavy Duty Serviced Extras

Singer called this the greatest machine ever built and it was the first slant needle zigzag machine that was gear driven, with an internal motor. Bought this machine from the son of the original owner. It is a Singer Slant Needle Zigzag 401a. The light works, the bobbin winder works, reverse works, the stitch length and width work, the cams work, there is a brand new Singer needle in it. I tested the zigzag stitches and sewed marine weight vinyl, 10 layers of jeans weight denim, and quilt broadcloth.

Comes with original manual written in everyday English, a midcentury "satellite" buttonholer with a manual, original attachments including the case with broken latches and wear. Look at all the pics to decide on condition.
