The HD4423 is stocked with 23 built-in stitches shown on the convenient stitch selector dial, including essential, stretch, and decorative stitches.
Try combing stitches to embellish projects, giving them a personal touch. This machine has an adjustable stitch width of (6mm) and an adjustable stitch length, with three different needle positions. With a fully automatic one-step buttonhole feature, you can add buttonholes to pants, shirts, jackets, and more.
Most basic sewing machines feature a front-loading bobbin, which can be tricky to install. The Singer HD4423 features a top drop-in bobbin; drop your bobbin in and go! After winding the bobbin, drop it in, run the thread through the groove, and the machine will do the rest. The bobbin and bobbin cover are transparent, allowing you to consistently see the remaining thread, so you never run out in the middle of your project. Use the drop feed feature behind the free arm for free motion quilting and button sewing.
You control the fabric's direction while sewing by dropping the feed dogs. Access the free arm by removing the storage compartment.
This narrow arm is the perfect size to fit sleeves and pant legs over for hemming. This removable compartment doubles as an accessory tray. Extra High Presser Foot Lift. The presser foot lifter raises and lowers the presser foot higher than the normal up position for easy removal of the presser feet or to accommodate several layers of fabric or those weighty fabrics that typical home sewing machines struggle with. A thread trimmer is conveniently located on the left side of the machine. After sewing, pull the threads through the trimmer, and you are done. Adjustable Stitch Length and Width. Conveniently located on the front of the Singer HD4423 are two dials: Stitch Selection and Stitch Length. The Stitch Width dial is located on top of the machine.Simply select a stitch and easily adjust the stitch length and width. Heavy Duty Metal Frame & Stainless Steel Bedplate.
