Singer 4423 Heavy Duty Home Sewing Machine for Parts or Repair

I have turned on the sewing machine. The needle moves when the pedal is pushed (pedal is not included in sale). I was told that this sewing machine at the very least will need to be serviced for a reverse function that is not working properly.

My basic test showed it working to some extent, but perhaps the problem would be more apparent when the needle is threaded and fabric is being used. One of the pieces on the top has broken off. I will include it with the machine in case you would like to reattach it. There may be other problems as well. Cover is included but is a bit dirty.
