Electric Sewing Machine with Foot Pedal Control. (Made in Great Britain - the "K" indicates made in Kilbowie). Serial Number EJ711030, which dates it to 1954.

In 1921 Singer introduced the option of a Singer electric motor, making the 99K the first portable electric machine. A lovely machine in excellent clean condition, as seen in the photos. She sews a wide variety of materials, including leather and denim, and lightweight materials as well.

The electric cords are in great condition, and the light is working well. This is such a PRETTY machine and so hard working! Straight stitch, with adjustments for pressure and tension. Generous harp area (work area between needle and right side). Printed photocopy of the manual included.
