This is one of the famous Japanese made Kenmores. They are among the best domestic sewing machines ever manufactured. This is a model 148.1560 which is one of the best models of Japanese Kenmores. It is a free arm/convertible/table top model making it easy to sew cuffs, etc.. This machine is exceptional in looks and the way it sews.

It is very smooth and quiet, very impressive. It will do straight, reverse, zigzag, and several specialty stitches (see sewn sample). It has all metal gears so sewing heavier materials will not hurt it.

It has a 1.0 amp motor which will provide all the power necessary for about any job. It can handle No 18 needles and No. 69 thread for sewing those heavy material. It uses standard needles and bobbins.

It comes with a zigzag/combination foot. It has drop down feed dogs so you can do embroidery, etc. Comes in the original carrying case - free to the purchaser.
