When it comes to a machine that can do all you need and simple to use this machine is it.
Many people may say Bernina but, when it comes to using their basic model it is too advance and hard to remember the steps. With this machine you could set this machine up with your eyes closed. The machine is just as well built like a Bernina with 1/5 the price of a Bernina.
Also Bernina makes your pay for a shank and it is hard to replace feet when break down. This machine the feet is relatively easy to find and fix and replace. It will last longer than a Bernina with less problems to fix. Bernina have so many mechanical parts that can go wrong easily. If you want a solid machine this is it.
Just got my machine yesterday. It's built like a tank and sews like butter. I replaced a brother machine that walked all over my table and wouldn't sew thickness. Also the needles kept breaking. Looking forward to the VIP package arrriving. This machine is just perfect for our small pillow making business. Goes through some really thick materials. And, again, Mr Vacuum and Mrs Sew delivered for us with exceptional customer service. Love this Janome HD 3000! It makes working with Ultra seude so easy. I bought this machine for heavier materials, and its proven to be a good choice. A thank you Mr Vacuum and Mrs Sew! So far I love the Janome. So much so I talked my sister-in-law into ordering it. She has been wanting one so I coaxed her into getting it. She should have it soon. And this shop is the best. If you need a heavier duty machine or just want to save your computer type machine this is the one to get.I have had this machine for a couple of weeks now, and have sewn several pieces... Thin and thick materials, as well and stretchy material.
It's easy to thread, easy to operate, and I like the stitches that are available on it. That was a real bonus! Machine is exactly as advertised!
Great product, very smooth operation. I did a lot of research before purchasing my machine. My work takes me to fairly remote locations, and I wanted a reliable machine that I would not have to worry about. I sew a lot of bags and quilts, and work with lots of heavy materials.
I told Joe the two machines I had narrowed my choice down to. Based on what I had told him, he agreed that the HD3000 would be my best choice. I said ok, so you really think this is a solid machine?
He chuckled, and with his thick NY accent his exact words were, "this machine is an animal" "it's like driving a 4-wheel drive car through the snow". I chuckle every time I sew a thick seam, and think of Joe with his thick New York accent... This machine is an animal! It is so quiet and strong, and I know it can handle whatever I put under the presser foot. The directions in the book are very good. I have not had any problems with the threader, in fact I think it works just fine. I love the extra high presser foot option. It doesn't have a ton of fancy stitches, but the stitches it does have are great, and plenty for what I do. I would highly recommend this machine to anyone who wants to have trouble free sewing, and no worries about whether or not the machine can handle the project. This is such a great machine! It was really hard for me to part with my old Singer from the 60s, but once it broke for the 3rd time, I had to let it go. I was really nervous having to possibly order a sewing machine online, but local stores were steering me in the directions of the more expensive computerized ones-ie.When looking at new machines online and in local stores, I had a really hard time choosing a new machine that wasn't digital and mostly expensive because of the computerized parts. The first time I used my Janome HD3000 was so exciting! It sews through the layers of fabric like butter, it's amazing!
It's really quiet and very easy to thread and wind the bobbin. Even the automatic threader, which I thought I'd never use, is all I use now because it's so fool-proof! Even the user manual is simple to read and straight to the point. The extra accessories that came with the machine were very nice, although I did have a defective button foot-but one call to Mr Vac and Mrs Sew and they immediately had another one sent out. They were very personable and helpful too. I almost want another excuse to call them because their customer service was so "old school" and I hung up with a smile.
I know I'll be using my Janome for years and hopefully, Mr Vac & Mrs Sew will still be around for me to order from. It is obviously a much better made machine.
Most of my sewing is household projects and mending as well as some crafting. I feel that I made a really good choice in this machine.
As I do not sew frequently I have explored the various functions and completed only one project to date. And, I would highly recommend Mr. I will be checking out their sweepers in the near future.
Enjoying my new Janome HD3000! It's very user friendly. I just love this machine.
So far it has done everything I have asked it to do. I have three other machines 2 Brother (light duty work) and a Singer Heavy Duty (nice but has its issues) and I know that the Janome is just the workhorse that I need. If you sew for a living, and if you make items where you are sewing multiple layers and thicknesses, this machine just goes right along, as long as you follow the very easy instructions for setting yourself up. I believe that'Janie' and I will be having a long and fruitful relationship!I have used my new machine on a couple of projects now and I really enjoy it. It is excellent on the thicker materials and is very "user friendly". The machine arrived as promised and in perfect condition.
My only complaint is that the self-threading feature broke the first day I used it, but for me that's not a big deal. I find it much easier to just thread the needle without it. Overall, a good machine and a great deal. This is our first sewing machine.
We like a lot about this machine, but the little red light that shows which stitch is selected is almost impossible to see - my husband has to call me to come verify his selection. It also can have a little trouble climbing up to and off of bulky seam layers. Sew is a family owned and operated business. We opened our doors in 1988 with one idea in mind.
