SINGER Heavy Duty 328K Sewing Machine "Style Mate". Serial number EX388903, built in 1964 in Clydebank, Scotland. This is a well made -ALL METAL- machine in very good condition. This Singer is a steel drive straight stitch (with reverse) machine with internal motor (direct wired electrical & foot control). There's a handy drop-in bobbin in front of the needle.
It has a built in light. It is a good solid machine, simple and reliable. Its grey color is common. Original rubber feet are in good shape and allows for sewing on any solid surface. The machine screws are in place, so this machine can be placed in a cabinet or carry case.
Acquired from estate of original owner. The machine was stored for several years. It needed a thoroughly cleaning and complete maintenance & lubrication. Machine tested with 2-4-8 layers of denim and sewed a perfect stitch. Also tested on leather and common cotton (see samples).
It uses a standard 15x1 needle, standard class 66 bobbins, and low shank attachments. Original manual (fair condition, rear cover missing).
