Vintage Singer Model 5528 Sewing Machine Metal, Heavy Duty! Free Arm, Zigzag

This is a great heavy duty metal sewing machine from Singer. It is model number 5528 and it's a great retro color of brown and beige. This machine is a real workhorse! It is heavy duty and can easily handle multiple layers of denim, canvas, and even leather if you use a leather needle. It is very easy to operate. You simply change the dial to the stitch you want. It is a free machine which makes it easy to sew cuffs and smaller circular items. It has a built-in Bobbin winder is very easy to thread. The machine has six built-in stitches and surprisingly is relatively quiet and fast.

A sample picture of the stitches is included in the photos. It comes with the power cord and foot pedal. This is a wonderful machine and is built to last. These machines are far superior to the plastic ones that are out today.

If you are in search of a good basic, solid, reliable, sewing machine, this one is for you. The machine has been cleaned, oiled and tested and is in good working order. There is a tape measure, an extra needle, an extra bobbin, a screwdriver, and a seam ripper. There are some scuffs and scratches on the machine, typical of age, but overall it is an excellent condition. There is a very slight hairline crack in the front plastic facing.

I've tried to photograph it, but it is so fine that I cannot photograph it well. It does not affect use in anyway.
